Yeah the old one wasn't working... the truck reads as always running cold.... Everything else on my dashboard reads correctly... I'll take some pics of what im talking about... because I dont think im following ... the part you sent is simple enough but doesnt solve the leak that will continue because it doestnt seem to have the bolt that goes in to the motor to plug it. .... I have a sender that is identical to the original just doesnt come with the bolt to screw into the engine...

Ground the Yellow/White sensor wire with the key ON. Gauge should read full HOT. If not the gauge is bad or the wire broke between sender and gauge.

 

 

Yes, it's like an adapter. Sender screws into that and it screws into the housing. Where's the one that was in there???
