510rob
mike I though Napz pistons have a lower pin height? I thought there is alot of headgasket proplem when installing flattops.? natoneel , whats the big Boner oover 10-1 compression? Gas isnt that good anymore. Might be asking for proplems, detonation timming issues 280zx NON turbo 81-83 piston (86mm) is the flattop which will be a +1mm over in a L18/20(85mm) x2 Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
SDSURF Its 81-83 280zx NON turbo pistons ,"use the Rods you got". make sure you list it correctly. lets not make this hard. Anyways I havent seen a set really still listed besides at Nissan and there were almost 50$ apc just for the piston. Let me know where you see these pistons for sale. Most people will use them in the L18s(+1mm over bore) natoneel If anything get the L18 4cc dished pistons from Rockauto.com(73 datsun 610) Thats if they still list it. You can buy the Aries pistons But will regret it. Esp just for a street motor. Then youll think of me. Best power for $ is in the head. cam ,carbs ,port work Quote Link to comment
hang_510
Are those pistons installed and working or for sale? never instaled. NIB. CR would be too high for my street application. Best power for $ is in the head. cam ,carbs ,port work no regrets when the design can handle it  Quote Link to comment

famousyellowz
Back when I had the this setup it was during the 80's and gas wasn't very good. I'd clog fuel filters some times weekly (I kept a couple with me all the time). I'd have to add octane booster and I would still ping on occasion. I only blew one head gasket the whole time I had the setup. Quote Link to comment
