banzai510(hainz) Posted December 11, 2019 Report Share Posted December 11, 2019 (edited) I believe you can use a Pertronix conversion. someone just on here has one. google Pertronix Datsun j13 it will pop up for a 1741 kit i run them on all my Datsun as people would get rid of there single point distributors for cheap or free. They work fine but if one fucks with them too much the green tape will not hold the magnets and stay on the dist shaft when pulling up the magnet ring.Or tape peels off. wayno Posted December 11, 2019 Report Share Posted December 11, 2019 You can also use a MG distributor, they are cheap as MGs have aftermarket support while early Datsun engines do not. I wrote this for the E1 engine in the 320, but it also applies to the J13/15 engine. 1 Quote Link to comment
