izzo
:D:D Anyone want to photoshop/ms paint this picture and point out some stuff i can take off. I seen some ppl with just intakes and carbs on here, mine looks like it still has all the smog junk still on it. Would like to remove it but dont want to end up taking it all off and it not running right and not be able to make it run smooth again. As far as i know, there needs to be a vacum line for the dist and one from the carb to the top of the valve cover. Or is that for other vehicles? Any help would be appreciated. I would liek to remove everything thats not needed and clean that pig up a bit. Tho it looks clean, it would look x10 with less junk and some polishing & paint :D Quote Link to comment
izzo
Ph34r my mspaint skills lol... :fu: anyways here it is. i had thought someone had told me about this a while back, as long as there was vacum advance hooked up and the carb to something else it would be fine. the rest was just accessories and what not.. let me know if thats incorrect and maybe as above says do something similar and point to what i can take off. Once finished if its not running ill snag up some pics and go from there. Quote Link to comment

izzo
Sweet. What kind of block off plate, Like just a flat peice of metal that will have to bolt over the holes? If so i can probably find some metal. THen should i use some kind of silicon to keep it air tight? Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Yes but you should try to keep the PCV valve. Not good to run without it. Better to just remove the EGR valve and plug that smaller hole. Remove the BPT valve as well. The BPT valve is the far left round thing with a metal hose connecting it to the EGR valve just ot the right and a bit higher. This will leave the PCV valve intact and a cleaner running motor. http://i138.photobucket.com/albums/q251/datzenmike/EGRandPCV-1.jpg[/img]"] Quote Link to comment
