agouge888
1974 620...still trying to get fuel pumping properly. I’m changing the fuel pump and it has a thin gasket, but also has a 1/4” gasket too. Is that 1”4 spacer gasket supposed to be there between the fuel pump and the mounting surface? thanks, agouge888 Quote Link to comment
Ben_upde
Yes. The spacer is usually a plastic material to help prevent heat transfer from the head to the pump/fuel. There will be a gasket on both sides of the spacer as well so a total of 2 gaskets are needed. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Without that 1/4" plastic spacer the pump arm will grind on the cam eccentric. Quote Link to comment
