Kenmataya
67 pl411 wagon Anybody know if this is the same as the boot on the roadster? Thanks, Ken Quote Link to comment
difrangia
Is that trany a four speed that looks like this ?? If so, the clutch arm boot for an early 60's MGA will fit right in. Get from Victoria British in KS, Moss Motors, or one of the other Britt suppliers. Quote Link to comment
Kenmataya
well, it looks like this http://i1300.photobucket.com/albums/ag95/kenmataya/transmission_zps6dn2cd7x.jpg Edited August 14, 2018 by Kenmataya Quote Link to comment
difrangia
Don't know bout that trany's clutch arm boot. That's the trany with the stamped steel bottom pan. Sorry !! Really nice wagon though. Glad there's not one in my area of the world. It could cause a bit of marital strife. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
This would be the F4W63L. With different front case bolt patterns, used on the later 520 and J and L powered 521 and 510s. Looks identical to the R1600 Roadster transmission so would also have been used in the 410 or 411 that also used the R1600? The F4W63L was probably a stronger transmission than the one Charlie posted if used on an Roadster engine. Around '73? it was called the F4W63 and outwardly looked identical to the F4W63L and was used in the 'first 620, the 710, A10 and the 610, though with a longer rear case. The clutch arms stopped having the adjustable push rod with the F4W63, but I believe the dust boots are the same. The dust boot was very square with square pleats or folds with a reversed C hole for the clutch arm.... 30542-14601. Quote Link to comment
