taikitanabe
So I managed to round out both the fill and drain plugs on my diff. Welded up some nuts on it to remove them, but now would like to put in new plugs. Is there an interchange on these plugs, or possibly a part number out there? Searched the web but couldn't come up with anything. Thanks! Taiki Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
Got to the Nissan dealer. Still available. Could even get them from a regular parts house. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
OK the drain has a magnet on it to collect ferrous filings. It was used on ALL Datsuns from mid 60s (some to '62) till '80/'81. #32103-14600 I can't find the 510 goon part number but have no reason to believe that any H-190 fill plug won't work. #43059-A1600. The diff fill and drain plugs interchange. I run a drain plug as a fill plug because of the magnet on it. Diff fill or drain plugs are removed by placing the square end of a 1/2" ratchet or breaker bar into them. Most 71B 4 and 5 speeds are the same but some have an outward square boss for an open end wrench or pipe wrench. I have used transmission bungs on the diff... same thread. Quote Link to comment
KELMO
From the sedan rear end, the drain plug is the same # as the Goon so it would stand to reason the filler would be the same. 00931-21200 with a description of " plug taper thread". Quote Link to comment
