Sqdro
I just got a Datsun 620 couple months ago and I have a lot of plans for it, but school and work got me kind of busy. I work on it in my off days and weekends, I already done couple things like dropping the back, putting new rims and tires and others. Right now I'm having problems trying to get the front lowered by reindexing the torsion bars i cannot get them out those B are just TIGHT! Here are some pics of my little truck https://goo.gl/photos/WtdevdiaJeTN1G489 https://goo.gl/photos/MXEAAmXhjVSfoLMt9 https://goo.gl/photos/9e2b1qcZUAt7Cx2P6 https://goo.gl/photos/H2bNy569HkZYmVsV6 https://goo.gl/photos/FK9vnEVuH4zPXxyQ7 https://goo.gl/photos/LSjK9Nhgyqi85kwz5 https://goo.gl/photos/jnBiAiVA1NvXgFc77 https://goo.gl/photos/88WmqFxr5m3WUbCF6 https://goo.gl/photos/Nk3XLVocBuDxRPr39 https://goo.gl/photos/Eiv62EN459mW6mJf9 https://goo.gl/photos/4283x67nfEHSkhDa7 https://goo.gl/photos/XujiWEdR323o5pXJ9 Quote Link to comment

hobospyder
if you're going beyond 2 inch drop, make sure the rear axle is angled and i think you have to shim the carrier bearing after 3 inches. someone should come by with an answer on that if not, pinion angle gets screwed up and not good for ujoints if they don't just bind Quote Link to comment

hobospyder
because of lowering the truck. nothing to do with engine, all about driveline. the angles on the ujoints have to be the same and can't be beyond a certain point. someone knows the science behind it, probably datzenmike, i don't know more than you have to have angled shims or blocks and possibly have to shim the carrier bearing. if going ka, you'll probably want a one piece driveline. i haven't done an engine swap yet so i don't know how the drivelines work with those but still, will need angled shims or blocks for the rear axle 1 Quote Link to comment
