Droski Posted October 20, 2016 Report Share Posted October 20, 2016 hello gang im currently running a Nikki Carburetor on my j13 engine for my 1966 520 pickup i was wondering if there are any better carburetor options that i could simply bolt on ive heard talk about webers being good replacement options is it possible to put 620 or 720 carbs on a j13 engine? datsunaholic Posted October 20, 2016 Report Share Posted October 20, 2016 Webers will require an adaptor unless you can find a hens-tooth rare 34DFT. The bolt pattern is the same as the later Hitachis, but there is some concern with valve cover clearance since the Nikki carb is quite a bit smaller. I've seen 32/36 DGV Webers on J13s, it's a little bit large and it does require an adaptor but they do work. Quote Link to comment

Rebuild yours, by rebuild I really mean take apart and clean it. There are few parts that wear out and dirt and maladjustment are the cause of most problems. 1 Quote Link to comment
