Droski
My fuel tank is leaking gas where the hard hose/attachment connects to the tank. It's the hose on the left of the picture. Quote Link to comment
MicroMachinery
Get a fuel tank patch epoxy from the parts store and call it a day. 2 Quote Link to comment

MicroMachinery
I think the one they have at Napa is permatex. I've used it with satisfactory results. 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
or... Take tank out, empty and fill with water leaving a bubble. Solder or braze it. 3 Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
Don't hack it with a temporary epoxy fix. Solder it or have it professionally welded. 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Did this with a 620 tank that is exposed outside the vehicle. Dirt collects on the seam weld at the support, and rusts. Tinned it and a small patch of brass from a rad. Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
let the gas drain lower and clean really good the area and I used I think a JB weld or a patch of epoxy. what happens is the braze breaks and cause a gas smell when over full and if really losse grounds out the fuel gauge eratic reading or soemthing like that. I fixed one or the other last time this happen to me 3 Quote Link to comment
MicroMachinery
Don't hack it with a temporary epoxy fix. Solder it or have it professionally welded. I patched the bottom of my 521 fuel tank with a 'temporary epoxy fix' 11 years ago. Still holding strong. 1 Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
Well, I guess since I am in the business of building cars and trucks, I tend to look at repairs from a different angle. Could I sell that? No way. Bringing a vehicle back to or surpassing original condition is the name of the game for me. 2 Quote Link to comment
