N268510S
I have a 1968 Datsun 510. Does anyone have a proportion valve where all the brake lines meet up with a brake switch. I have one on the car but it leaks. I can't drive the car. The proportion valve does not look right, I might be wrong. I enclosed some pictures of my proportion valve in the link below. I live in Anaheim, CA. Please text me at (714) 457-7099. PLEASE HELP I'VE BEEN DEALING WITH THIS FOR A FEW MONTHS NOW. Thx. datzenmike
Always check your post. Those pictures are not showing. I believe if it has the electrical wire on it, it's the brake warning switch and not a proportioning valve. This unit only senses a loss in brake pressure compared to the other side. The brake warning switch on the 510 is the same one used on the 240/260/280Z car, the 610/710 and the B210 through '78 so there are lots out there I'm not convinced the 510 even has a proportioning valve and relies on larger or smaller brake cylinders on the back to provide the front / rear bias. The '73 610 does have a proportioning valve and a separate brake warning switch.... perhaps later 510 have them? 1 Quote Link to comment
N268510S
So is it a distribution block for the braking system. Does anyone have a picture of one since my photo did not load to the link. Thx. Quote Link to comment

It's not a distribution block. I assume you have a dual master cylinder? The brake warning switch keeps the front and rear systems separate but lack on pressure in one side will trigger a switch that lights the brake warning lamp in the dash to let you know there's been a failure. N268510S
Yes I have a dual master cylinder. Ok so does anyone have a new valve because the threads are worn out on mine and leaks so I have very limited brakes. Quote Link to comment

You might even find one at the Nissan dealer or an auto supply store. Quote Link to comment
