jalexquijano
I have read somewhere that the MR. Gasket 9748 Glass Fuel Filter which you place in the engine bay is somelike flow restrictive. Is this really true? Should i consider swapping to a Fram G3 plastic clear filter? Anyone??? DanielC
No. In almost every case of some after market part, the quality of a original Datsun (Nissan) part is better, and often cheaper. I can get fuel filters for my 1970 521 at Nissan. Probably fuel filters for your 240 Z are at Nissan also. 1 Quote Link to comment
jalexquijano
This is correct! Which fuel filter is then recommended for a 1972 240z free of flow restriction? 1 Quote Link to comment
jalexquijano
Do you need to put an additional fuel filter next to the airtex 8012s fuel pump? Will this extend the life of the pump. I thought this pump had its own Steel fuel filter? 1 Quote Link to comment
KoHeartsGPA
I have two inline filters with that replacement inner mesh, one is before the fuel pump and the other one right before the carb, that one is glass so that I can see the gas flow, no issues. Quote Link to comment
jalexquijano
Measured the fuel pressure at the rear su carb and it was pushing 5 to 5.3 PSI with no overflooding on the float valves. I guess i will need a regulator for Airtex 8012s electric fuel pump (5 to 9 psi). Which one is recommended? Quote Link to comment
