bananahamuck
Federal Way is in King county anything 25 years or newer has to pass a smog test ,, i would go 26 to be safe. Don't know where any good cars are though. Quote Link to comment

angliagt
I was trying to figure out what registration fees would be. Is there a rough idea (percentage) of fees that need to be paid? Is there a website that I can go to,to calculate fees? - Doug Quote Link to comment
bananahamuck
I just paid $185.00 to register a $1000. car about a month ago.. Our taxes are slightly lower than King county taxes are. And as of Feb 18 you have to buy plates and tags even if they (plates and tags) were bought by previous owner just before you purchased car.. There is no "set fee" in Washington since it depends on exact location of where vehicle is being registered because each county and city is allowed to add on their public transportation / roads fees if they wish. http://www.dol.wa.gov/vehicleregistration/ Quote Link to comment
CWhip
And as of Feb 18 you have to buy plates and tags even if they (plates and tags) were bought by previous owner just before you purchased car.. You can get around this if you're buying the car from a relative. I went in and told them it was from my brother in law and didn't have to buy plates or tabs. Quote Link to comment
