DatsunThailand
Every now and again my engine is cutting out when driving it. I'm sure its due to Carb because due to the helpful glass screen on the Nikki Carb I can see there is no fuel in the carb. I little tap on the Carb and turn the key to wait for the mechanical fuel pump to fill the carb again then absolutely floor the car for half a mile solves the issue temporarily! Is this likely to be a sticking float in the carb? Anybody else had similar issues? Quote Link to comment
Jester
Look through the window when it starts it's issues. If you float is hanging down in the bowl, it not the floats sticking shut. That happens when the fuel is at it's proper level and the needle shuts off the flow. I would suspect either your fuel filter is clogged or your pump is on the way out. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Filters are cheap. If that doesn't fix the problem it's not the end of the world. It's probably the filter. Quote Link to comment
