ggzilla
Nothing else in the system can cause the master cylinder to leak. Look carefully at the seals. If one is fitted backwards an internal leak can happen. If the NABCO is not pitted, rebuild that one. NABCO can last more than 40 years if the fluid is changed per schedule in owners manual. Motschrocker
I will try my best to rebuild the nabco. Could someone comment on my concern with the brake warning switch? When i look at a diagram of the part or similar part they have some valving internally. Took mine apart and there is nothing inside. Is this an issue since both resevoirs of the mc run into it with nothing separting the two? Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
It is an issue if the parts inside have been removed. For one thing, it means you only have a single brake system instead of the far safer dual brake system. For another, it won't warn you via dash light if a small brake fluid leak develops. I've never heard of someone doing that, but replace it I would. As to whether it cause brake fluid to be pumped from one reservoir to another, you could test the master by removing the F and R brake lines and plugging the ports. If it no longer transfers fluid the master is OK. Quote Link to comment
Motschrocker
Yea it seems like someone removed the internals. Just the bolts on either end. No springs no nothing. Dont know why. Ill keep trying stuff and post what i figure out. Quote Link to comment
Motschrocker
So i took out the out brake pressure switch and np valve. I ran new brake lines with a universal wilwood proportioning valve. Everything seems to be working well. No more fluid transfer or leaking. Hopefully everything holds up. Quote Link to comment
Z-train
If you haven't done a 70 MPH panic stop, find a clear area and try it ASAP. 1 Quote Link to comment
