mattyhacks71
I'm assuming there is a couple, Datsun and Toyota guys have similar interests  Picked up a pretty decent '81 Corolla wagon for a mere $350. 162xxx kms on the clock, auto trans, white on blue interior, no real body rot that I've found so far although I haven't taken a good look yet. Front passenger window has been smashed. There's a problem with the engine fan, wont seem to come on normally so the previous owner has put a wire from the fan right to the battery. What sensor delegates the fan turning on/off? I saw two switches, one on the thermostat housing and another underneath the thermostat housing. Here's some oics. Don't plan on keeping it for long. Probably going to do a few things to make it less dorky then try to flip it. \ 1 Quote Link to comment
littlejason
Should have an engine driven fan. Quote Link to comment
Eomund
Should have an engine driven fan. +1. It they swapped it to electric, easy fix is just get a new OEM fan and water pump... Problem solved. The TE's are bullet proof. Hell, you prolly barely need a fan in the thing lol Quote Link to comment

REDnGOLD
TE27 are rare as it gets. you dont see alot of these anymore certainly not FOR SALE. Try to get them to lower the price. You can prolly put any toyota RWD engine on it. Possibly 1JZ. As for tranny, I read you can put on a later year Corolla or MK3 supra. http://www.superstreetonline.com/featuredvehicles/sstp_0712_1972_toyota_corolla_te27/w_58_transmission.html Quote Link to comment
