Pull the dipstick.  Is there oil on it?  if so, put dipstick back in.

Can you turn the engine with wrench on the crank pulley, if so go on to next step.

Hook up a good battery to the starter, and try to crank it.  If it cranks, listen to it.  Does it spin freely, or is does it have a rhythmic sound, as each piston comes up on compression?  If it has a nice rhythmic sound, do a compression test.

If above 140 to 150 on all four, hook up ignition, and pour a little gas in the carb throat, see if it fires.

Sorry guys I'm slow on here. To answer some of the questions the truck was running would start right up. The problem occurred after i would get rolling. I would drive maybe 5 minutes on the road then the engine would choke out and turn off. I could restart it but has to give it a lot of gas and it would continue to turn off. I talked to someone and they suggested to clean carbs. So I took them off cleaned everything and put it back. After everything was set put gas in and it went right through the seal. Haven't touched it since. Been trying to figure out what i missed. This is my first try ever on a carb so be gentle. I got a message from someone on here and i will call them this weekend see how it goes.  Thanks for looking.

Do you have the stock carb or is it a Weber?
