pondking
I have little info on this KA wondering how much they are worth? its pretty dusty and it looks like its been sitting for a while no tranny what would be a fair price? Quote Link to comment
KlassicMotion
It will be a hard sale.... Does it spin over? What shape is the header in? I'm just guessing here, but I'd say you will be lucky to get $200 for it. 1 Quote Link to comment
MicroMachinery
Too bad the oil cap has been off. Are the spark plugs out as well? Sucks when things like those and the intake are left open over time.. all kinda of critters get inside. Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
That's a truck block with the 240SX intake. Looks like scrap weight to me without proof of condition. 1 Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Give it a compression check. If its good it is worth $500 Quote Link to comment
KlassicMotion
More thoughts: I see them advertised on CL as complete and in good running condition with trans for $700... all the ones I see on eBay are coming from retailers, so the price is about $200 more than what I'd expect to pay "locally".... datzenmike
That's a truck block with the 240SX intake. Looks like scrap weight to me without proof of condition. I don't think truck. The truck oil pump and distributor have the same drive spindle style as the L, Z, KA-E Could this be from a FWD car??? Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
It looks like a v belt. Not 240sx. Water passages are correct for a RWD. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
It's worth the parts on it right now. Whats the part number on the ECU? Example A11 3434 G00 2711 something?? Quote Link to comment
pondking
Ill take a look thanks for the responds what should I use to try to spin it? because its not easily spinning at least we tried without trying much I was thinking 250 no spark plugs no oil cap maybe 200 oh wait I found the oil cap 225 Quote Link to comment
Logical1
DMike is right. Its not a 2000+ frontier engine. It has the 90 degree disto in relation to the timing cover like the 240's. Frontier distro has a diagonal distro shaft like the ka single cam and L-series. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
240s have the diagonal distributor like L-series four-cylinders even though it is a six. Quote Link to comment
Logical1
Sorry, meant the 240sx... Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
We need to know if front sump or rear then. Quote Link to comment
Driftease
240s have the diagonal distributor like L-series four-cylinders even though it is a six. wrong this engine is DE in the 240s with de the dizzy is run off the intermediate cam gear the frontier de ran off the crank. it looks to me that it is multi rib in the pic so I would say it is a 240sx engine either way without it running it is nothing but a core for rebuild or a serious gamble for the purchaser, I'd ask 200 and see what you get the wiring harness alone will sell for 80 I just sold a e harness for that much with injectors an some other junk Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
You are wrong. L24 has same angle of distributor as L16. I said nothing about 240SX. Quote Link to comment

datzenmike
This is clearly a ka24de dumbass you are the only one taking about an l24 ^^^^^^ you must not be able to read Play nice. If it was truly worth anything the plugs would have been left in it and it would still be in a car. Turning it over doesn't add to it's parts value. Think of it as extra parts for another motor. Do not think of it as a diamond in the rough that has been overlooked. 1 Quote Link to comment
Driftease
its all in the interest of keeping good information on the site, I get mad when people post things that are blatantly wrong which ggzilla does quite often. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Blatantly wrong? I would be more willing to say 'made a mistake' or 'misunderstood something' than saying dumb-ass or can't read. ggzilla and I correct each other all the time... all in good humor.. Quote Link to comment
Driftease
Ok so he made a mistake I apologize for being a dick rite away done. Quote Link to comment
