yellowdatsun
The tracking thing works *after* it's already been stolen......you want to prevent the theft to begin with. Kill switches are great, especially for the electric fuel pumps. Just make sure you hide it in a place that everyone else doesn't, under the dash by the steering column is a really stupid place. Or do like the drug runners for their secret compartments, where you have to flip/change/turn a few things in sequence to get the thing to start. Quote Link to comment
datson4life
Or i can put a couple switches and label one kill switch and label the other truck horn, but actually have them backwards so when they think they hit tge kill switch they wake up the neighborhood with truck horn and i can run out with ak and handcuff them, and show their face to the whole datsun community Jk im not that tough :-( Or am i? MikeRL411
My big truck that tows my enclosed just gets the rotor removed, then put the cap back on. Nothing appears to be disconnected, and it sure as hell wont run. I know this from all the times I forgot about it. Durr And unplug the ground wire that plugs into the distributor and tuck it away near the nearest cable. Dumb Dumbs probably never saw a point distributor so won't have the slightest idea that the distributor plate needs a ground connection. Pulling the coil to center connector of the distributor wouldn't hurt either so long as you didn't leave it in the glove compartment. Quote Link to comment
