Pacific coast Datsun
Ok heres another issue i need to fix on the wagon. Theres is coolant leaking from up under the intake & i cant pinpoint its origin. It starts leaking once it's up to temp. & i know this because i can smell it. When i was driving it every day to work id have to refill the overflow tank every few days. I need to fix this soon & need help. The area around the thermostat housing looks to be clean, it looks like it's leaking from where the head & block meet. Is that possible...? Heres a pic... Quote Link to comment
slodat
it might be the intake/exhaust gasket. if your head has the water passages for the intake manifold, they are known to leak sometimes. If that's the case, it is pretty easy to change the intake manifold gasket. Quote Link to comment

banzai510(hainz)
also ck the Tstat housing. esp if you tried to remove the temp sender. The housings crack. Bu more likely its the intake/exhaust gasket Quote Link to comment
