Sierra
The thing on the bumper is called a bumper guard. There is one on eBay. Not mine. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=261747281588 1 Quote Link to comment

Meticulous
Do u know what jet size is in ur carb? Quote Link to comment
dat521gatherer
I don't at the moment. I just put another weber on that is supposed to be jetted for a a14 but it gets worse mileage than the one I took off. Currently I'm trying to get the idle smoother. I guess I need to look at the plug gaps and valve lash again. Quote Link to comment
jaime.g
I enjoyed reading through this thread. Did you do much prep work in regards to the rust on the battery tray or did you paint right over it? Also, did you spray paint the engine bay or was it done with a 2 stage paint like from a spray gun? I'm currently addressing my rust issues in my b210's engine bay and have given it some ospho treatment. Quote Link to comment
dat521gatherer
I wire wheeled the rust down to bare metal for the battery tray and then used self etching primer from a rattle can. The rest of the engine bay I just cleaned and painted over. The paint I used was a color matched paint code that I had put into rattle cans that was a single stage with a button of the bottom of the can to add the hardener when I was ready to spray. Sherwin williams auto is where I had it made and it was about $35 a can. I used about 3 cans. I'm glad you have enjoyed this thread. I'm going to repaint the trunk if I can ever fix the leak. My plan is to use the same type of cans but I had no idea I could go to sherwinn williams to get color matched paint for those push button spray cans. That's sweet. Thanks for the info! ggzilla
Oil change and head retorque at how many miles? Nissan recommends re-torquing the head gasket bolts ever twenty-four months (every two years). With modern gaskets like Fel-Pro there is no need for retorque after break-in. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Can someone show me how the jack and tool bag or lug wrench is supposed to mount? The jack goes right there, but in normal upright position, then hand-crank it up until it fits tight to the bracket. The lug wrench fits in the black Nissan bag and lays on top of the spare tire. The jack handle I'm not sure but I think mounts on the missing rear trim panel. The owners manual shows it. 1 Quote Link to comment
dat521gatherer
FINALLY got my spectres on the car. I think they make the car look way better then what was on there. It took long enough. Better late than never I guess. 2 Quote Link to comment

I guess I need to look at the plug gaps and valve lash again. I bought a new Weber that was supposedly jetted for the 78 B210. It ran awful, way to rich. I went ahead and put that exact Weber carb in my 720 with an L20B and it still ran to rich. Conclusion, if I am going to continue messing with Weber carbs, I had better buy a jetting kit and record which jetts fit which engines. Quote Link to comment

dat521gatherer
What a nightmare. This is my third starter. What brand of starter are you guys running. These rebuilt work like shit and don't even fit. This is a 16211 from oriellys that comes in three different styles but only one fits and you never know which style they have in the box. Is there a better brand? Is it possible to get a new one from the dealer and are they really new? Any info or opinions much appreciated. 80 210 1.5L auto starter 16211 The one that doesn't fit. The one in my 75 B210 Quote Link to comment

I normally run the gear reduction starter form the newer models. Looking at the application on their website, O'Reilly thinks all years of A-series from '71-82 use the same starter. They do not. Is it possible to get a new one from the dealer and are they really new? Most likely remanufactured, not new. But I'd take a Nissan reman over an O'Reilly starter any day. 1 Quote Link to comment
