ggzilla
Why not use the factory rear-sump pan? Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
Why not use the factory rear-sump pan? It would still need to be heavily modified. And it won't even fit a car engine without serious modification (basically do what he did). The rear sump pan is for truck engines only. 1 Quote Link to comment

ggzilla
Ah, so what vehicle does this custom pan fit? Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
Ah, so what vehicle does this custom pan fit? A '68-73 510. And by extension, a '72-76 610. And a '74-78 B210. And a 620 truck. But I'm betting he built it for a 510, since he has so many. ;) Quote Link to comment

B) But you can mod that truck pan to work by cutting off the rearmost bit and rebuilding it into a notch. But it still won't bolt up to a car engine. Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
Sweet stove too. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Now I see it is really a mid-sump.pan, like a 510 has, but with the sump offset differently. I like this better than the flip-crossmember method. Quote Link to comment

flatcat19
Oil pans for the single cam are swappable. Not for the dual cam though. Quote Link to comment
braveops
Made in Canada Have the same model outside...was thinking of converting it. i was checking to see how long it would burn on 2 gallons and at 1.36 ltr and it was about 18 1/2 hours on highest setting as i have not insulated my shop yet. its pretty cool how it works Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
Oil pans for the single cam are swappable. It's been awhile, but last time I tried a truck pan on a car engine it was too shallow at the front end and fouled the main girdle. But like I said, it's been awhile... ^_^ Quote Link to comment
