HAM8URGER
Does anyone know if this is a Datsun color? If it is, what is the color code? Quote Link to comment
HAM8URGER
Italian Olive or Avocado Green Poly maybe? Quote Link to comment

MicroMachinery
 I'm pretty sure it is the Italian Olive. Quote Link to comment
jser12
My brother got a lot of compliments on his color choice for his 521. "Avocado green poly" is the color name. Not sure what the code was but it was a factory color for 1972. It has a fine metallic in it that really pops in the sun. 113??? Quote Link to comment
jser12
shit, I think tristin is right... again  code # 911 Quote Link to comment
Tristin
 ^_^ Quote Link to comment
MicroMachinery
"939" "911" Not really even an argument here. 1 Quote Link to comment
Tristin
This is the internet... there is always an argument here. If I remember right though, last I talked to the owner that particular shade was a custom color. Quote Link to comment
MicroMachinery
There's an older guy from BC that brings his wagon down to Canby every year. It's super nice. I'm pretty sure it's that same color(939). I had a 4dr that was "911", and I can say without a shadow of a doubt, that they're not the same color. Quote Link to comment
Tristin
Yeah they are for sure different. 939 is probably the closest for sure. Quote Link to comment
MicroMachinery
Looking at it more and more, I wouldn't be surprised if it was a custom color, like you say(Maybe a little more red than the 939) Looks on screen like the 939 looks in person.. if that makes any sense. Quote Link to comment
Tristin
I guess I could see if I still had his contact info... there was another guy (short lived member) that seemed to know him too. Ill look around and see if I can get a definitive answer. Quote Link to comment
HAM8URGER
Well it's confirmed, i didn't even know it but I was friends on FB with the owner of this car (Japan) and he said its a datsun color. He didn't tell me the code though. Maybe it was lost in translation... Quote Link to comment
HAM8URGER
It's funny, he made this muffler out of an old fire extinguisher... 2 Quote Link to comment
MicroMachinery
If he doesn't have the engine bay stickers anymore, you can find the color code on the radiator core support, stamped into it underneath where the color code sticker used to be :) Quote Link to comment
HAM8URGER
I keep hitting him up but he won't answer haha Quote Link to comment
HAM8URGER
Anyone else on here have this paint? Quote Link to comment
Just Joel
If he doesn't have the engine bay stickers anymore, you can find the color code on the radiator core support, stamped into it underneath where the color code sticker used to be :) Not always... my 71 has no such stamp. MicroMachinery
How strange.. mine does and it's a 71  Quote Link to comment
qwik510
I think they stopped stamping in the middle of the 71 model year. I have a late 70 model that is stamped and have never seen a 72 that was stamped. I parted out several 71's. Only one was stamped. Datsun got cheap and just slapped a sticker on it. For those that don't know what we are referring to: Paint code stamped into the top of the radiator core support. Paint code sticker on the same car. 2 Quote Link to comment
