It's run of the mill wedge head... ok a rounded wedge. Here's the head... You can call it a hemi but I sure don't. Hemi means half.... Sphere is obvious. Half a sphere. Even the Nissan 720 engines are more hemi than that. And they are not called hemis... This is a hemispherical combustion chamber. 1 1 Quote Link to comment

This is a Chrysler Australia Valiant Pacer which had the 245 ci and 265ci chrysler built engine. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chrysler_Hemi-6_Engine Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
51 minutes ago, VFR800 said: You're wrong too. It much better fits the definition of a wedge head. The valves are in the same plane while a hemi has divergent valves and is a cross flow design.. Right in the link provided... Although the Hemi-6 does not contain truly hemispherical combustion chambers, the "Hemi" moniker was used primarily for its marketing cachet based on the reputation of Chrysler's 1950s-1970s (true) Hemi V8 engines. 1 Quote Link to comment
VFR800
Well tell Chrysler that. It's still a fact they marketed as a Hemi. Also taken from the link - This creates what is known as a low hemispherical shaped chamber. Edited April 6, 2019 by VFR800 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
That's why you have to question everything. Calling it a hemi don't make it a hemi. Even Nissan made a second 510 to trade in on the fame and success of the real PL510 from the late 60s and early 70s. The A10 was no more a 510 than my ass. It was a 510 in name only. They also badged a Sentra as a 200sx even though it was a FWD car. 1 Quote Link to comment
