loungin112
Why are you trying switch badges to a model its not? My feeling is that most cars, my xterra included, are over badged...too many pieces of plastic proclaiming what they are. Ruined a badges while trying to remove it and I have to replace it. Xterra badges that fit the guide holes seem to be between $30-$50 each. I just want to have fun with it at this point. I'm not sure, but is there a ratsun badge (not decal sticker)? captaingamez
Just debadge it? If theres holes or points, just tack them with a welder, or cut and sand them off, then use the Duplicolor for your car brand/color, sand/bondo/primer/sand/primer/sand/paint/clear/sand/clear/buff/clay. Its really not as hard as it sounds, and you would be actually doing something nice, instead of just slapping badges on. I cant say it would increase the resale value, but It would make the car more appealing to SOME people when you sold it, assuming its done well. Quote Link to comment

While I understand it isn't difficult, I'm not sure I would like to practice on my 2008 vehicle. I may try to price that solution though. Quote Link to comment

You can start an Xterra badge topic under "Other Nissan Vehicles" found here .... http://community.ratsun.net/forum/22-other-datsuns-and-nissans/ He is on topic... So....after learning of the stupidity of Nissan (slow down....) that went into finishing details on my Xterra, I am now looking for some new emblems/badges. Turns out to help the assembly monkeys line up the emblems/badges, Nissan drilled pilot holes into the body that would mate to posts on the emblems/badges. Guess I can't go badgeless on the Xterra without having to fill the pilot holes....which I'm not going to do. So, while looking around for some new emblems I came across these JAF badges and was curious what JAF was so I found this on wiki. Now, I think I could pull this off on the 510 and not be put into the sucker class....but with the Xterra......I'm not so sure. So, what does ratsun think of the JAF badges? (they do come in a series of colors for reproductions and I thought I found some vintage badges that were near $100 each) 1 Quote Link to comment

Jesse C.
I have a vintage JAF badge that a friend of mine found in a wrecking yard in Japan while stationed there the Marines. It has an aluminum face embedded into a plastic backing with only one stud to hold it onto the subject item. This one is going to need some restoration work. I know they make replicas and that newer ones are all plastic and some mount with threaded studs or adhesive. I don't know which other types they make. Quote Link to comment

loungin112
I have an '08 Xterra, where are these holes? Behind the Nissan badge right bottom of the rear hatch. The model (s,se, etc) doesn't have them. Not sure if the xterra badge on the left has them or not....scared to check. Quote Link to comment
