orangie
Anybody buy a hood from Unlimited? I just want a stock replacement, but the real hoods in good condition are hard to find. Just wondering about the quality. I don't want a hood I have to put a lot of time into or I may as well just fix mines. Quote Link to comment
BlackBird620
Can always get a steel reproduction from rockauto about $100 shipped Quote Link to comment
polmec
I bought one. Took just a little work but fits real good I even got it to bolt up to the hinges and the original hood lock which the company says cant be done. 1 Quote Link to comment

Z-train
Orangie.I find it hard to believe that a good/decent hood can't be found in Az.Especially in Phoenix. Quote Link to comment
orangie
It's far easier to buy one than go combing the city to find one. It really depends what your time is worth to you. I'm going to check out Rock Auto and see what the shipping is like. I would have never thought they even had them. My hood is damaged from what looks like it blew open while driving. The back of the hood is bent backward and then bent down to make it fit again. I could remove the under frame of the hood and flatten it out, but that would take a lot of time and effort. polmec
That hood came from Unlimited WWW.up22.com it is a DA128. I bought it a few years back when they were having a sale and I live close so no shipping. The price now is 229.00 I think +shipping. A little sanding a little time in fitting and it all came out good. Here is somemore of the truck from another thread i started. http://community.ratsun.net/topic/56688-fiberglass-fenders/ Quote Link to comment

I got a valance and front bumper from JC Whitney, I think they sell the same parts as Rock. The valance took almost as much body work as my original would have and the front bumper is un-usable. It looks good but it will not fit the front of my car without modding the brackets, and corner rubbers. And even the it won't fit like stock unless I take a 1/4-1/2 inch off the top bumper lip and ruin the chrome. Maybe it's an early model vs late model thing. BTW, new front bumper for sale, fitted but never used ;) My hood and fender I found at a u-pull for cheap. It just took a little patience. If you gotta buy new I'd say go fiberglass. Probably less body work than the steel hood once the already marginal part is boxed, shipped and all that. Quote Link to comment
