iCruZ
I'm planning on removing my ugly dry rotted and cracked dash pad from my 70' 521 pickup but before i did was hoping maybe someone on here has done it before ? maybe you could tell me an easier way of doing it ? and not sure if i want to keep it shaved or if i want to look for a replacement dash any ideas on which looks better or how your guys 521 dashes look ? possibly know of where i could get a whole dash pad in case i do go with replacing it ? Thanks ! Quote Link to comment
TENDRIL
get a 520 dash and call it good.. Quote Link to comment
iCruZ
Tendril - a 520 Dash Pad fits a 70' 521 ? Quote Link to comment
Draker
Yeah, and it's metal too. Quote Link to comment
iCruZ
Draker - are they easier to come by brand new or used but in one whole piece ? in case there is a misunderstanding i'm looking for the dash PAD.. Quote Link to comment
Tristin
520 pads are harder to come by. Everyone wasnt a 520 pad because they are metal and dont crack. Quote Link to comment
iCruZ
TristinGrind - ...guess i should get to looking for a 520 dash if i choose to go that route.. from what years would the 520 dash still fit in a 70' 521 ? Quote Link to comment
Tristin
All years. You can swap the whole dash over, but most just want the metal pad. Quote Link to comment
iCruZ
TristinGrind - Thanks for all the information ! Quote Link to comment

laotsu
there's a pretty nice 521 dash in the PnP in Windsor. Quote Link to comment
iCruZ
Laotsu - still a noob.. whats PnP ? and heard that a 520 dash pad would also work and sounds better because its all steel.. but might just go with the time being with a shaved dash There must be someone on here whose replaced or just removed and old dash pad. I mostly need info on removing the dash pad.. I'd like to find out from people who have already tried different methods of removing it if possible ? Quote Link to comment
