Recommended Posts

I did some search and i guess a few people on ratsun have had a set.

Through all that I'm having trouble.

I've heard that you have to have shank lug nuts for it.

Here's the set of rims and here's the shanks that i THINK im suppose to buy.

my problem is im not sure if those shanks will do or if i need other ones?

any help will be helpful. thanks.

contact the Ebay seller with your hole dimensions

I don't know if the shanks should be long or short.

I'm picking up the rims at eagle rock as well so cant check dimensions now

Late reply, sorry.  I have a set of Shelby rims came with a Z car, 14x6.  (Anyone need a set?)

When I tried to buy some extra lugs I had a hard time matching up - only had 3 per wheel.  The ones you link on ebay would NOT work for my rims.

The shank diameter for mine is 0.685" (0.70"?), not 0.75".  0.75" wouldn't fit in the mag holes.  Shank length is 0.70" on mine, including the washer depth.

Hope all worked out.  Seems like you might be dealin' with the Wagon!

If you're having a hard time finding lug nuts, Just send them off to the machine shop to get the lug seats changed into Conical/Tuner seats.

It'll be around 80-120 bucks for all four.

I think that will be the problem with mine as well.

I wish I could just find some one that had some shelbys.

I actually picked up my rims today.

My thread has pictures in all.

I don't know what I should do about it.

I think these lugs would probably work: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/gor-73127/overview/

You have some calipers?  Measure man, measure! (the holes and the depth)  These are the same dimensions as mine, except they are 0.05" longer - I doubt they'll bottom though.

Glad it all worked out! Now get driving!

The second i get my license I'll be driving my dime for days on end.

It'll be slow and shitty but I'll love it.

Ima wear down my l16 then swap my l20.

I do have calipers and I did measure.

I measured and i think that ebay sockets will work.

Do you know they won't out of personal experience?

both lug nuts are exactly the same. .75 deep .685 width. overal 1.7"

There's no difference?

SORRY!  I read ebay link as .75" width shank, not .685".  Didn't scroll down past description. Yes, I think these will work.

So I did have trouble putting in one of the lugs but other than that, I'm satisfied.
The lug nuts worked out thankfully.

Here's the stance that I literally LOVE.
This is without a spacer in the front. When i swap on the zx struts, I'm sure it will go in a bit but I can use the spacer then.

Son, that'll never happen. That L16 is way over 2 1/2 times older than you are. They over built them back then and you'll be an old man by the time you get to that L20B swap.

Glad to see you're working on the suspension and brakes first. By '68 standards they were pretty good but today you need a lot more. Get that car sorted and enjoy driving it, have some fun with it. You'll know soon enough when you need more power.

It's funny because i argue with kids at school that the l16 is more reliable than half the new shit made. lol

But you're right.

Thanks for the tip!
