Need help Identifing this carburetor

only info i can find is Eltra 8355

and r8942 but the 2 is stamped over with a 1

Some kind of Weber. I don't remember what model. I've seen it before though

 

 

ordered an air cleaner for a 32/36 once and they sent me a base plate for that carb.

It would be generically called a Holley / motorcraft 5200.

 

oops thought i should add ,, it would have come on pintos up to early 80s mustang 4cyls and such

I do see motorcraft on side. I am guessing the Hitachi carburetor kit i ordered probably wont work on it. Any idea on were to get a rebuild kit?

Don`t know,, i had a few open half used kits from a million years ago when i circle tracked a pinto..and i don`t throw much away.

 

Real parts store guys might be able to go through the holley book and find you something,,, cuz they are really standardized and used for many years, so parts should be there... If the counterman looks at it and doesn`t know what it is,,probably would be best to just walk out..

 

I just put -holley 5200 rebuild kits- into my browser and it came up with quite a few hits..

 

 

I have been running one since 2011 on my car so they do work and are cheap for me..

Holly jets will fit it and are cheaper than weber.

Always use img code in the list of codes,

 

If you click your user name in photobucket then select user settings,,,, then select Albums,,, then scroll down and turn on easy linking ,,

 

 

the codes will appear under each picture without having to click gear symbol thing

From what I know weber kits should work besides the top-half.

These were sold under license through Holley/Ford/Motorcraft.  Pretty much all weber crap besides the redesigned top.

I ended up buying the rebuild kit on rockauto. The kit was $27 closeout and there is 7 left if you might need one. I really appreciate all the help

Oh dang, I knew it was something close to a weber.

 

Wonder how good this carbs actually are.
