Viror Posted June 8, 2013 Report Share Posted June 8, 2013 So, I bought my 720 about a week ago to be my daily driver after an auto accident totaled my '79 Ford Courier and damaged my '79 Jeep Cherokee Chief. I managed to find this truck and since a friend of mine owns a 720, I figured I'd pick it up. I remembered this forum from him showing me a few pictures from a 620 thread a while back and so here I am. The truck is an unmolested (minus stereo) 1980 Datsun 720 standard cab 4x4. It has the L20B with all factory hardware intact and untouched as well as the original four speed. The truck's odometer in the picture is correct. It was owned by an older gentleman and used as a farm truck. It's slower than molasses and needs a clutch, possibly a rear main while I'm there, but it will have to do until I can get my Jeep roadworthy. One project at a time allows me to stay in school as well as get to and from work. Quote Link to comment

Viror Posted June 9, 2013 Author Report Share Posted June 9, 2013 I can't imagine being able to use a five speed. With my foot to the floor I barely manage the speed limit with my four. And I've only owned one vehicle with AC. Since it was a 1990 Mazda Miata, I never used it though. Quote Link to comment
