Has anyone seen them for sale? Would like to purchase if in good shape or brand new. Also who knows where I can find the bush guard which was a factory option. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike Posted April 30, 2013 Report Share Posted April 30, 2013 The rubber bumper over riders were an option on the KC trucks from '77 62680-B9300 R Hand 62681-B9300 L Hand (about $40 each if still available, ouch) There was no factory option bush guard for the 620 but dealers weren't above supplying and installing something, possibly even available from Nissan. datzenmike Posted April 30, 2013 Report Share Posted April 30, 2013 It would be mostly for looks, totally for looks actually. I don't know why the 620 has a chrome thing called a 'bumper'. The 'bumper is barely supported enough to hold it's own weight and for some insane reason is also bolted to each fender so that a 'bump' usually fucks the fenders too. If getting a bush guard get a good one and have it properly welded to the frame below the 'bumper' to protect it. 1 Quote Link to comment

Mostly there as cosmetic since it does really nothing as to protect the front end and is so flimsy. the chrome bush guard was there to add cosmetic also. It was made out of 1 inch tubing and mounted right on the otherside of frame under the bumper brackets . I've seen one for sale here awhile back.
