qletsinger
I am reupholstering my door cards and i have seen a lot of videos on how to take off the window crank and they all say i need to get off a little clip behind the crank. It shows them using rags to pop off the clip but i just cant get it. Anyone have any ideas how i could get it off? Quote Link to comment
jesusno2
Tiny screw driver is what I use then when I wanna put it back on I slide the clip on the crank itself and pop it back in place Quote Link to comment
DREWSDIME
Its easy to remove with a flat head screw driver. If you push on material behind crank you can see the clip, just get tip of screw driver under the loop part of the clip and just pop it up and it will come right off. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
I use a bent table knife. To instal, clip the spring into the crank, position where you want the handle and thump it into place. Quote Link to comment
Cleopatra Jones
I used a fingernail file. I know, very girlish of me but it worked :) Quote Link to comment
kb25t17
what never seems to get mentioned is which direction to push from. Is the flat bottom of the clip found under the long handle or is it around the end on the base side? I see photos on the internet of both situations. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
It can be either way and either way works. The clip is just a big C shape. Push the door card in and look down between the crank and the plastic spacer to view it. C this way push it off to the left. Ɔ this way push it off to the right Quote Link to comment
Jeremiah720
I used those cheap orange handled picks from harbor break tools, they were like $1 1 Quote Link to comment
