heretic
No you need to do a spindle swap ... might as well go dropped spindles. Quote Link to comment
Eagle_Adam
im not interested in going any lower, ill look into it tho Quote Link to comment
heretic
you wouldn't necessarily have to go lower. You could stay the same height & return your torsion bars closer to stock AND have close to a full range of motion on your control arms & shocks all equating to a better ride & handling ;) 2 Quote Link to comment

EDIT: there may be a write up actually but if i remeber there is A LOT of banter also. hmmmmmmmm, do like it there a write up on whats needed? Quote Link to comment
Eagle_Adam
a list would work, and any tips you may have. It will be a while before i can do the fronts so no rush Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
hmmmmmmmm, do like it there a write up on whats needed? Just grab everything from the spindle out on the Hardbody including the rubber lines. That's the simple list. :) 2 Quote Link to comment
heretic
IF you wanna stay with the single piston calipers I went twin piston... go big or go home right :) Just grab everything from the spindle out on the Hardbody including the rubber lines. That's the simple list. :) Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
But then it wouldn't be so simple a list  Quote Link to comment
heretic
VERY true.!!! But then it wouldn't be so simple a list  Quote Link to comment

Eagle_Adam
well my brake problems persist.... so i finally got time to look at it last night and found out "something" on my MC is leaking... so i tightened everything up and bled the MC..... still have shitty brakes :( hopefully i can fix it tonight Quote Link to comment
heretic
just a thought Adam.... have you checked & adjusted your rear brakes. Maybe they aren't working optimally. If your fronts are doing all the work, overall your braking will feel weak. Quote Link to comment
Eagle_Adam
i have adjusted them :/ im kinda lost to be honest, im going to redo everything one more time to be sure ive done it all right and go from there Quote Link to comment
heretic
bummer I'm sure you'll find the issue. Quote Link to comment
Eagle_Adam
yup, the whole system seemed to be full of flaws when i first got it Failed NLSV organic front pads horribly adjusted rear shoes bad MC(although i think i killed it not the PO) air in the lines.... Quote Link to comment
heretic
:( man thats a lot of shit to chase down. I remeber reading that you removed the NLSV, did you add proportioning valve to adjust your rear braking bias.? Quote Link to comment
Eagle_Adam
no, but im going with rear disc's soon Quote Link to comment
heretic
they should be damn near locking up if you slam on your brakes. If you do some test panic stops make sure you're in a parking lot with LOTS of space. Your ass end will whip around, ask me how I know : / :) I'm watching closely. I want rear discs also.!! dscottdatsun
If your making a simple list for a hardbody front brake swap = V6 2wd! It will have the 2 piston caliper. To lessen the cost, you can use your 78-79 hubs instead of buying the D21 hubs. http://community.ratsun.net/topic/47479-bigger-brakes-on-my-620/ pics of my swap Scott Quote Link to comment
Eagle_Adam
I've spent the last few weeks with the 720 in the garage and it made me lazy.... But it's done(outta my garage and onto its new home) Had a couple hitch hikers the other day And this guy decided to chill the whole ride home Quote Link to comment
Eagle_Adam
The last couple days have consisted of cleaning and organizing..... Yawn But with a few new shelves and some organizers BAM! Picked up a bolt/nut organizer with removeable containers And jessi got me two long over due tools...... :D 1 Quote Link to comment
