datzenmike
I think the 521s were all dual points??? Anyway if you have dual points the Pertronix does not fit, only the single point. Any L16 single point can be converted. If not the '79 and '80 trucks had a matchbox that will drop in. The '79 (maybe earlier) 200sx had them also and probably any L20B car like the later HLA510. The '80-'81 200sx with the 4 plug Z20E motor will fit. In all cases if you get a distributor ... be sure to get the aluminum pedestal that bolts it to the timing cover! Quote Link to comment
Cuts metal like mad
the L20b single point dizzy can be made to work with the pertronix also... the info is in Hainz's video, but basically you have to turn down the shaft a little... if you have one and try to put the pertronix on it you can see what needs to be done. Cuts metal like mad
I was just looking on the pertronix website... according to the catalog, the same kit listed for the single point 510 dizzy also fits the 620 74-76 (single point) dizzy. Maybe they revised the kit to include a trigger that fits the larger shaft... Quote Link to comment
