hi good day to all, I have a question if someone used this conversion and how they worked? will support the distributor of a j15?

pertronix is the USA made version

Hotspark is made in China.

I believe all the single point distributors like a single point L16, the conversion will fit. just use the stock coil from the datsun.

 

if the J15 motor uses ethe same point set(ck the part number) hen yes it should fit.

I recomend the pertronix kit as well. I have heard bad things about the hot spark kit. I think a guy on the forum had one that was bad right out of the box.

_{Have used Petronix on 3 cars (65 mustang, 75 Celica, 71 Datsun) so far no problems. I was going to try the HotSparks with dist. because I thought my dist. was bad, turned out to be vacuum advance was bad.  If you do go with HotSparks, you coil has to be w/ ohms spec.  had it wriiten down , can't find it.  Also can't find any reviews about their products.  Seems a little cheaper than Petronix.  Good luck w/ decision.}
