_chiefjt
I was wondering where I can get roller rockers for my '86 Nissan 720 z24? Can't seem to find anything. Quote Link to comment
TFM1066
Well have you thought about where to get a roller cam???? flat tappet cams and roller cams are not the same Quote Link to comment
datsunaholic
Would be very expensive. You'd have to find someone to engineer them, because they don't exist. Aftermarket Roller rockers are typically found on pushrod engines (they exist for R and A series engines, for example). Though some OHC engines do have them stock, there aren't any aftermarket for most Nissan engines. Quote Link to comment
_chiefjt
Hmm... Okay just wondering because that would be a nice performance upgrade. lol Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
The rollers themselves aren't but the cam profile would be. The valve would be full open faster and closed later than the same flat tappet cam. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Yes, to elaborate on Mike's comment, roller rockers by themselves do little, but they allow more aggressive cams. Roller rockers are used by newer cars since even tiny % less friction adds up over manufacturer fleet. Quote Link to comment
