i need some datsun help fellas!!

alright fellas i got a quick question so i have a 71 datsun 521 pickup its missing the front lower valance so what i am wondering is the datsun 510 valance the same is it a little longer a little shorter??? i have tried looking for the original 521 valace but i dont seem to find it anywhere and i have found a few 510 valace available but i just dont know if it will match up or not??? has anyone ever tried any of this or do you guys have any suggestions on maybe an after market valance i could use along with maybe a front lip that wont look too bad any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

It's not even close. Only looks similar.

 

There are no aftermarket body panels at this time. Get a good used apon, or have a bodyman weld thin steel repair sheets.

Not long ago, the Valley Pull n Save in Spokane had a 521 in the "classic" row. No idea if it had a valance, but I can look when I get there Friday or Sat. I'll get pics if there is anything there.

I have a 520 valance but they are slightly different looking and not sure if it mounts the same pm me if interested

Have you ever seen the guy with the 521s off I90 in George ?? Maybe stop by and ask him if he has any you could buy..And if nothing else he has had a few and might be able to point a fellow trucker in the right direction.

Checked P&S today. That 521 has gone to the crusher. They do show up there from time to time. But it might be months.
