71kat510
came across this on summit racing thought might work for a rear coilover setup on a 620 or a goon and wanted to get some thoughts or ideas of how to get this to work http://www.summitrac...51/media/images then add a set of these or make your own coilover setup which would probably be the best idea for cost wise and order the above brackets for mounting http://www.summitrac...25a-7/overview/ Quote Link to comment
Skib
rear end would have to be 4 linked before any sort of coil set up. doesnt really work with leaf springs Quote Link to comment
71kat510
well i figured most people would know that this would elminate the leafs and give you coils instead would need some fab work but looks like it would work pretty good with a 4 link Quote Link to comment
Skib
a 4 link gets rid of the leafs in itself Quote Link to comment
Dawa
im eventually gonna do it, lotsa work/money though here is that 620 drifter's set up couldnt find the photo with the bed installed but he had to cut away at the rear fenders to make room for the coilovers Quote Link to comment

The two products you linked are already setting you back $300. How is that better than buying a set of actual adjustable coilovers, and then what problem are you trying to solve with your possible setup? Coil springs = linked rear suspension. 71kat510
just figured might be less fab work then trying to swap in a irs setup and you could make your own coils for about a $100 for each side you could even make those style mounts if you had the right tools im not to familiar with lowering solid rear ends but figured the bottom mount on this setup would be pretty easy to weld on then make a upper mount to weld the mount from the shock on but if you know how to fab making a set of towers would be better probabaly Quote Link to comment

Once you remove the leafs you've lost all axle positioning members, so you now either need arms in an independent suspension setup, or some kind of link setup with a solid live axle. Either way is a pretty large amount of fab, as well as proper calculations if you want to do it right.
