M240Z
I tried installing my corbeau forza seat into my 240z today with the stock rails I modified to fit. The mounting points of the seats however are less wide than the stock seats and I can not bolt the seat down. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem? I'm going to try my luck in measuring everything out tomorrow. I think I can just drill new mounting holes into the car, this is Ratsun right? Quote Link to comment
I'm BLUE
Measure Mark Measure Final check Drill Bolt in and go ! A square is a really good tool to have handy to , but more than one way to skin a cat right ? :) Make sure you have enough material. You can also weld in whatever .. tube .. plating ... dock washers ... etc ... , as long as it's strong enough and supported evenly ;) get to it ! 1 Quote Link to comment
Skib
The mounting points of the seats however are less wide than the stock seats so mark where the bolts are and drill a hole there? 1 Quote Link to comment
M240Z
haha thats the plan! Just the rear mounting points are weird and I dont have too much material to drill holes closer together, probably like a 4th of an inch. I might have to have fab some tabs and weld it on the inside or something. :poop: Quote Link to comment
Uber Deaf One
Corbeau makes a bracket for your car I'm sure. But pricey. Quote Link to comment

Add material either thicker or gusset/lengthen and you'll be fine ;) wait ... $90 per bracket ... pffffff screw that ! Quote Link to comment
M240Z
Hmmm do you think ill be good bolted down with only three bolts?haha Quote Link to comment
I'm BLUE
Hmmm do you think ill be good bolted down with only three bolts?haha I would advise against it ;) A welder might do what you need for $50-$60 per hour + material ? Maybe a mobile mechanic just the same. Go buy a mig welder for $110 from HF ... comes with mask , and hammer. Use brand name flux/mig wire as well. Keep or sell when you're done. OR better option ... buy a friend/member pizza and beer  Quote Link to comment
M240Z
I just slapped in in there today and left the right rear bracket unbolted, actually seems pretty sturdy for now but Im going to see when my buddy is free so he can weld up an extra plate. Im going to test it out tonight Quote Link to comment
