In search of a shifter

I have a 1971 Datsun 521.. switched over from a 4 speed to a 5 speed transmission. Need the shifter!!

Iv got one, dont recall if it has the pin tho Ill have to check.

The 521 had an A type shifter...

 

The dogleg or the 71B 5 speed has a B type shifter...

 

Any 4 or 5 speed 71B shifter will fit the dogleg if that's what you put in your 521.... you didn't say. The only problem will be the shifter length and the shape. There must be a dozen different shapes.

They're not for sale, hell they aren't even mine. They are, however, good for explanation purposes. Maybe some other member will see one and say "Hey, I have one of those you can have!"

 

BTW.. you can bend those shifters to fit the hole in the floor or for reach.
