Anyone taken out or know how to clean the glass on door mirrors?

I need to clean the glass on the door mirrors and wanted to know if anyone has taken the glass out, i cleaned the front side but they are still really streaked. Any thoughts appreciated. Rory

my best guess is the mirror finish is going bad, there is no way to clean them from the back side

If the mirror finish on the back is causing streaks that you can't clean off from the front, cleaning the back won't help and likely will make it worse by cleaning more of teh silver nitrate off. If you can get the glass off intact (and that's wholly dependent on what kind of mirror it is since they aren't standardized on a 620) you can have a new mirror cut to fit. Not entirely sure where to get it, but I see mirror glass (cut to fit) sold online. If you don't want to cut it yourself, a good glass place can do it (not chain auto glass, but house glass and such).

1. First go see if replacement mirror, not asemblies, are available from your local Nissan dealer. If so, order one, take delivery to be sure the dealer didn't screw up.
   
2. If good to go, smash what's left of the fogged mirror, pick off the pieces and peel the protective film off the replacement and stick it in place. Piece of cake.
