stock carb to weber info needed!!

So i have a 81 210 with a stock carb and im stepping up to the weber, any close up pics of an A15 with a weber would be helpful and also any advise or knowledge of this swap would be appreciated thanks again guys.

Unbolt old carb, bolt on new one, hook up fuel lines, and choke, linkage. Drive.

what about all the lines that go to the stock air cleaner cover, does anything need plugged and what not is what im asking i guess.

you wont use the sock air cleaner any more

First of all you're getting a new direct replacement carb from Redline?. It will have all the necessary adapter plates and parts including, (I think) a Weber air filter.

 

All those hoses can be chucked if you are not keeping the air pump. Seal off where the exhaust leaks out.

Pretty easy swap, I did have to remove the EGR on the intake manifold to get the Weber to clear, yours may clear without removal depending on the adapter though. I believe in an early post you had already removed it to show a caked up passage, so just block that off.

yes its a replacement from redline, i get the new carb tomorrow so im just preping everything for a nice install, ill post some pics of the new setup. thanks guys

good idea i was thinkin to myself man it would look tacky with just a plate. it might be ratty but i still like things to look clean!

Use a paint scraper to trowel it in flat. Sand down if needed. Because JB flows a bit before hardening you may have to use two coats to fully fill the hole. Then grind down flush and/or sand it smooth.
