coilovers on a 610?

i just picked up a 74 610 4 door a couple days ago and the previous owner cut the factory springs... needless to say the ride is super bad so i was wondering what if any options there are as far as coilovers??? thanks

The stock setup is coilovers (typical McPherson strut). So you can get stock springs and put them on. These can be lowered by using an adjustable lower seat ($25 each) or by re-welding the spring seat lower.

 

You can also go to small diameter (2.5" ?) coil springs if you get the appropriate spring seats. Ground Control is the most popular aftermarket coilover setup.

I'm Installing Coilovers On My 610

But Am Using 280zx Struts For The Bigger Brakes

 

Gonna Use The Weld In Kit From Ground Control

 

You Will Have To Build Your Own Coilovers For The Rear

 

I Also Hear Australia Has Stiffer/Lower Aftermarket Springs

Stiffer/lower aftermarket springs are common here. You just need to custom order them from a spring company (same as in Australia, takes two weeks to make). You can buy stock replacements from Moog and others.

and i thought i was gonna get away with fabbing a set of function form type 2's lol boy was i wrong. but i think skib has me covered. does anyone have any pics of them installed all around?

there are some diferances like brakes and such but as far as the suspension goes there the same design.

 

the front struts are 2 in tubes just like the 510 and 280zx so you can use the same weld on front coils kits ect.
