Ratwagon1600
Not the Webers I wanted, but good enough the goon. These came off a similar spec motor to the one I have in the goon and I got them for a price I was happy with. Going to give them a birthday, then bolt them up. More pics in my build thread soon. Love the noise (and the extra power) twin side draughts make. This is really going to reinvigorate my interest in the old beast. Cheers Quote Link to comment

Ratwagon1600
Paid, after postage, $650. Good price by Aussie standards. The great thing about these carbies is they are basically a bolt on fit due to the fact they came off a similar spec motor to my goon. Can't help myself though, have to do a tear down, clean up, rebuild and general pretty up. All flat mating surfaces to be squared up, jets etc ultrasonically cleaned, manifold and carbies bead blasted, throttle shafts cleaned, lubed etc etc. Sucks you didn't get all you stuff delivered! Am very lucky to have the gear to do this stuff. Need to revitalize my project build post, so, lots of pics coming soon. Cheers Quote Link to comment
72240z
Are they webers? They dont look like any I have seen. The enrichment circuits are in the middle? and someone had them rigged with zip ties lol? Super deep idle mixture screws too. They look like they will clean up well. What are you going to do about linkage? Quote Link to comment

What are you going to do about linkage? No, not webers, delortos. Been playing with these things (datsuns, delortos and webers for approx 26 years). Plan with the linkage is to bolt them to the motor and then look at fabricating linkage setup accordingly. Obviously, will be looking at throttle shaft angle and all the other good stuff. Motor currently has mechanical fuel pump. Will be changing this for electric pump and regulator. Have stuff from my old rally car to bolt into the goon! I've just bead blasted the manifold ( pics soon) and its looking very nice! Quote Link to comment
