pondking Posted June 13, 2012 Report Share Posted June 13, 2012 people are shady i just started working for a company they laid off 4 guys i just met i dont know what kind of company hires new people and fires the experienced i guess they got comfortable i dont know the funny thing about the guy that got fired was that they told him it was because he was riding the skateboard (for 5 seconds) (he was just fetching everyones backpack from the lockers) in the company they have golf carts and people drift on them fuck this IT guy crashed on the way out of the warehouse before they fired the dude it happened in front of him and me and there is cameras on every corner Quote Link to comment

86 720 Posted June 13, 2012 Report Share Posted June 13, 2012 Sux. I remember when I was laid off in 09'. I was with the company for 5 years, 10 months 3 weeks and 4 days. They pulled me in after lunch and said it was my last day. For the next 1.5 years, I was in and out of jobs due to constant lay-offs. Noones job is safe now. Things have gotten somewhat better, but I now view having a job as a luxury. I would suggest getting on unemployment right away! Quote Link to comment
Laecaon Posted June 13, 2012 Report Share Posted June 13, 2012 My step dad got laid off after 15 years with his company. He was the senior tech with many customers specifically asking for him. They offered him a pay cut or to be terminated. He essentially took that opportunity to quit. Then he found out unemployment paid more than what he would be making if he took the pay cut.
