haubstr
I did a search to try and find the part number for this but didn't see it. I took it off of my brothers L20B block before it was hot tanked. It was real worn out from the chain hitting it. Do I really need it? Thanks Quote Link to comment
Phlebmaster
LOL!! Is it timing chain month?? I would not go with out it. you may end up replacing more than just the oiler. Seems like everyone is having timing issues...myself included.:lol: Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
13081-21000. The L series in the Z cars do NOT use one (what I heard) its up to you if you want one a new one or not. I assume you know to point the hole towards the chain Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
The Z series motors don't use them either. Enough oil comes down from the front cam tower and the chain tensioner squirts all over it anyway. Just checked... my '78 has one and my Z24 block doesn't. Replace or plug, whichever is easier.
