Welcome to Ratsun. Where are you at in Georgia? Good to see another GA 620 owner.

 

L18 and a 5 speed? Good deal.

Go for electronic ignition (not so much for power, but good for cold start/driving.

Weber 32/36 DGAV carb or dual SU's. Should give you plenty more HP's.

 

L18 is capable of a lot of top end power.

 

 

 

You could always go for the larger L20B. Look in the 75(ish) and up 620's, 710's, etc. Bolt in 112HP stock.

Yeah that's what everyone sez.... "drop right in". It's a heavy pig 2,700 lb truck. Need high pressure in tank fuel pump, EFI wiring, SR tranny to go with the motor, driveshaft shortened, custom oil pan, custom tranny mount, custom MMs, custom rad, good luck squeezing a turbo in there with torsion bars and one piece steering column and oh yeah the inter cooler pipes ...... in fact you will need to buy a tig welder there's so much custom one-off stuff to make.

 

All this on a drum brake truck? I dun know.... maybe just drive it and have some fun.
