The clock is rarer than a tach but not as useful. 5 speeds were an option on '78 and '79 model years. Keep very sharp eye out for an un-cracked dash. Very in demand. converted_to_datsun Posted March 18, 2012 Author Report Share Posted March 18, 2012 I was installing an old tac, (not stock) and the damn mounting thing snapped... might need a dfiierent tac now. And the stupid sterio is hard to move up to the dash when the instrament cover won't come off even after the cigarete lighter is unhooked and all the screws are out. Quote Link to comment

datzenmike Posted March 18, 2012 Report Share Posted March 18, 2012 Pull knob all the way out. Grip the stem as close to the dash as you can with needle nose pliers. Push knob down towards the dash and twist. Knob will disengage and lift off. Put back on in reverse. Quote Link to comment
