datzenmike Posted March 9, 2012 Report Share Posted March 9, 2012 The '80 A10 has a Z20 motor. Only '81 and on 720 trucks have Z series motors (other than diesels, that is) so yes some years of 720 truck motors will fit if you swap the car oil pans on. The '83 and on with Z24 is 3/4" taller and may have hood closing clearance problems? Need you to measure the length of your transmission in the car and in the 720 truck. Quote Link to comment
