Non stamped A series heads

aw Is checking out greasemonkeys 1200 hord pile , when he pointed out his 2 closed chamber heads had no casting marks other than japan nissan on the wet oval, nothing at all on the dry round...

why no castings? Ive come across 2 blocks that where blank and they both had h89's on them, connection?

most a series are not stamped the few that are hold more value

 

don't know when they started marking them but seems as the special ones have the markings of some kind

Yeah but I'm not in JDM! Advice to keep an eye open in Aus and NZ ain't working! I'm looking to use a 76 head on this next engine but doubt it will give the power or fuel economy I'm getting on the engine I've got with the 89. Great head!
